Sequoyah Hills Addition

F.E. Trainer was challenged with adding a large master wing to a recently completed home in Sequoyah Hills. Careful consideration had to be paid not only to the quarry used for the main home's stone facade, but also the masonry technique, mortar color, and architectural accents. In the end, the new wing is virtually indistinguishable from the new home with respect to the final look. Inside, over 1,500 s.f. of living space is adorned with a variety of carrera white marble tiles, fine bath fixtures, wide plank oak flooring, and hand-painted wallpaper. A TN Marble limestone surround fireplace anchors the master bedroom, and a large soaking tub anchors the master bathroom. Clever built-ins are found throughout the space, providing ample storage space for the owners. A glass breezeway with custom iron doors and a copper roof connects the original home to the new living space. Hidden doggy doors were included in the design to allow access to the front and back yards. A large, walk-in master closet off of the master bathroom provides ample space for the owners' wardrobe—and the large marble shower doubles as a steam room.
