F.E. Trainer provided whole home renovation services for a refined lake cottage on the Tennessee River. The entire home was taken down to the studs and an entirely new layout was configured, plus a new addition. Enhancements and upgrades were done to plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. This total home transformation features many distinct architectural and design features that flow from room to room. A custom millwork mahogany front entry with copper lanterns offers a warm welcome to family and visitors. Natural wood was incorporated into almost every room on walls, floors, and/or ceilings. Rich, earthy paint colors and colorful, textured wall coverings add to the natural look and feel of the home. A variety of white marbles were used in different bathrooms and wet spaces, each with a slightly different look for added visual interest from room to room. Mitered countertop edges further differentiate this home from others. Back outside, new copper awnings and flashing offer an elevated look in key areas, while the renovated landscaping and hardscaping provides plenty of space for enjoying the home's natural surroundings.
